Who we are

This website, activeadapter.com, is run by Equate IT Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN 20 093 027 993), trading as ActiveADAPTER (“we”, “us”). We are based in Australia. If you have a question about this policy or about your information, email privacy@activeadapter.com.

What we collect, and why

We collect only what you give us through the forms on this site, and only to deal with what you asked for:

• Evaluation download: your name and email address, so we can email you the download link. We keep a record of the request.
• Pricelist: your name, email address and any message, so we can send the pricelist and reply.
• Contact and call requests: your name, work email, preferred times and anything you tell us, including, if you choose, your current platform, number of workflows and timeframe, so we can arrange the call and reply.

We do not ask for payment details on this site.

Why we are allowed to use it

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our reason is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries from people considering our products and services, and, where your request is a step towards a purchase, taking that step at your request. We will only add you to a mailing list or send you marketing if you agree to it, and every such message will let you opt out.

Who sees your information

• Microsoft hosts our email (Microsoft 365). Your form submission arrives in that mailbox. Microsoft handles it on our behalf under its data-protection terms.
• Our website hosting provider (Namecheap) runs the servers this site is on, and keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and troubleshooting.
• We do not sell your information, and we do not give it to anyone for their own marketing. We may disclose it if the law requires.

Where it is kept

We are in Australia, and our Microsoft 365 account is hosted in Australia. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or elsewhere, your information is therefore processed in Australia and in the countries where our providers operate. Where the law requires it, those providers apply standard contractual safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for up to 24 months after we last dealt with you, then delete them. Records we are required to keep, such as those of a licence purchase, are kept for as long as the law requires.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not load third-party tracking. That is why there is no cookie banner. Our forms use a hidden field, not a tracking service, to filter out spam. If we later add analytics or embedded media, we will update this page and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to other websites, such as published research. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for them.

Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or stop our use of it, or give you a copy in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email privacy@activeadapter.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au), or to the data-protection authority where you live: for example, the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK, or your national authority in the EU.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page.
