About me
Dr Cameron Shackell, founder of ActiveADAPTER.

During a large Active Directory implementation in 2001–02, I wrote an Active Directory “Application Integration Component” for BizTalk to help with broader systems integration. When BizTalk Server pivoted to adapters in 2004, I rebuilt my AD AIC as a set of send and receive adapters, and after a lot of community interest these became ActiveADAPTER. As BizTalk reaches the end of its life, I’m taking the original ActiveADAPTER tooling and my two decades of experience and applying them directly to the hardest Active Directory problems.
My approach starts from a simple view: identity is the foundation everything else inherits from. Make sure it’s safe, secure, and integrated properly.
For the product side of the story, see the organisations that have used ActiveADAPTER.
Alongside consulting, I’m a researcher writing on AI, information and trust, including for The Conversation. Research and writing.
